Comradeship, Patriotism, Community Service

Greetings to all the members of VFW Post #3893 and its Ladies Auxiliary. As our 2008-2009 VFW and Ladies' Auxiliary years draw to a close, it is time to launch our new 2009-2010 year with a bang! We plan to start with a patriotic rally and family day at the Post on Saturday, July 4th from noon to 4:00 PM. Come help us celebrate our great nation's 233rd birthday and visit with old friend and meet new ones.

One major activity will be a Barbecue Dinner Fundraiser. Barbecue brisket plates with beans, potato salad, and Cole slaw for $7.00 each will be available from noon to 3:00 PM for "eat in" or "carry out". Dinner tickets will be sold in advance, and dinners may be purchased at the door as long as available. The Ladies' Auxiliary will also be selling delicious desserts for $1.00 each to raise funds to assist in financing their programs. (Auxiliary sisters who can are asked to bring a dessert.)

The post holds regular meetings for members every second Tuesday of the month at 7:30 pm. The Ladies Auxiliary meets separately at the same time. There is a covered dish meal at 6:30 pm before the first meeting of the month.

The Post also holds Dances every Saturday from 8 pm to 12 am.
